I have a 2003 SVS. I have tried to install an R6 throttle tube on 2 separate occasions and both failed. I have researched this topic quite.
I did this to my TLS, and now repeated it for the SV. I have not read anybody who has tried it (yay) say anything close to what the people who haven't tried it are saying (nay). Quoting spas: 'You want a REAL kick in the arse? Try a 1/5th turn throttle tube. It takes about 5 minutes to install & adjust, and will make the bike WILDLY different in the low and midrange. Words can hardly describe the difference' FYI on how it works: The throttle is a pulley system. Wedding Bell Sound Effects there. I again used an insert which increases the pully size at the OEM throttle grip, meaning more opening of throttle for same turn as previously.
Easier access to power during your natural riding. There hasn't been anything to date that has given me as much of a riding improvement as simply and cheaply as this. I raved about it before for the TLS, and after the last ride can rave about it again now on the SV. Resident evil 6 regenerators.
